AURICULAR ACUPUNCTURE IN ALCOHOL TREATMENT

Acupuncture is currently used in the treatment of addiction by approximately 2000 treatment program worldwide. Clinical evi­dence supports that auricular acupuncture is effective in ameliorat­ing acute and long-term withdrawal and craving symptoms associ­ated with alcohol addiction. Treatment programs use acupuncture as a foundation for later psychosocial recovery.

ביום שני ה 11.05 השתתפתי במפגש הכשרה ראשון לצוותים מקצועיים בתכנית 12 הצעדים. ההכשרה מתקיימת ברשות למלחמה בסמים בירושלים. 23 משתתפים מרחבי הארץ ומסגרות טיפול שונות. מטפלים מקהילות שונות, עובדות סוציאליות וקצינות חינוך משב"ס, כפר איזון ועוד. המטרה היא לשלב את 12 הצעדים בעבודה של כל אחד. האמצעי בתכנית זו היא החוויה האישית שנעבור. לא כמידע אינטלקטואלי בלבד אלא גם כחוויה.
